Ted Geddes Kukhdlâ
Ted Geddes was born in the 1930s to Inland Tlingit mother Annie Sidney and Scottish immigrant George Geddes. Ted's siblings included Clifford, Pearl (Keenan), Virginia (Smarch), Pansy (Bailey). The family lived at 12 Mile on Teslin Lake where they cut firewood, ran a trapline and later a mink farm. As ayoung man, Ted worked at the Tulsequah Chief Mine in British Columbia.1)
Ted was a founder of YANSI and was the acting president of the Teslin Local in 1976. He spearheaded the founding of the Yukon Trappers Association, one of YASNI's first projects. Ted and brother Cliff founded the TWP factory as a YANSI enterprise.2)
